I was thinking about getting back to him with something about narrow eyes. But then again, a seven-year-old‘s capacity for sarcastic/ironic comments is probably pretty limited, plus a lot gets lost in an automated translation… so I went with a hopefully cross-culture compatible “So we can smell our food better.“
