Bullet ant. These guys are huge, they’re 2 to 3 cm. No hand for scale, for a good reason: These fuckers have one of the most painful poisons in the world. They’re known as “bullet ants” because of the extreme pain a bite delivers, similar to being shot. Another name is “24 hour ant” because this pain lasts a whole day. So, yeah, I feel like I’m close enough.

A local dish… forgot its name… and like a kid in kindergarten, we helped and rolled our _________s ourselves.

More food, this time each family in the village cooked one dish each for us. Smartphone lighting because of a power outage. The power goes off every time it rains, and it rains all the time. Time to do offline-things that don’t need electric power. Like playing Mario Kart with the kids on your battery-powered Nintendo Switch. 😉
