Hiding in the Hills byDavidPosted on August 6, 2019January 18, 2022 Finally. After four weeks of shared rooms and hostel beds, this is my bed for the next week. Cool window concept: The huge window cannot be opened, but there are these little doors to let fresh air and nature sounds in. Mosquito nets 👌 Cacti I had expected to see more cacti A private pool, basically, since hardly anyone made it to this far off place I was staying at. Bert, my giant cockroach roomie who lived in my bathroom. He used to run across the room like a maniac, trying to hide, whenever I opened the bathroom door. So we had this agreement after a couple of days: Whenever I wanted to use the bathroom I would knock first and he would hide somewhere in the dark for a bit. Everyone’s happy. Rainy day… good opportunity to sort through my pile of photos Exploring the Streets Middle class Central American architecture An abandoned complex. This would be the perfect place for paintball! Nature always finds a way (Budget Edition) Electric fences against human intruders seem to be a standard here Sudden purple shift Moving to Another Place Another weirdly large empty place I was staying at in San José Lazy breakfast Cool view of the city by night Uuuuuhhhh, full moon Deserted and quiet Staring into the sunset over the city Random Stuff The coolest barbershop I’ve ever been to With little to no Spanish, even opening a door at Starbucks involves guesswork Asia Fusión Teriyaki… I’m confused. This is still Coke, right?! (Broken) Donut Ice Cream Green Sub David Hi! I've taken a year off from everything I know to travel, chill out and meet new people.
